Easter Revision Activities

Good Morning Year 2.

We hope you are enjoying your learning at home.

Next week is the normal 2 week Easter Holidays.

We have some ideas to keep you busy and some activities that you can have a go at.
Don't forget all of the brilliant online resources too!

Spelling and Phonics:

1. Look at this worksheet. Can you order the days of the week starting from Sunday? Make sure you spell them correctly!

2. Look at this worksheet. Can match the months of the year with the correct season? Make sure you spell them correctly!

3. Log on to phonics play. Practise your sounds and tricky words. Maybe have a go at some of the other games too.

English:

1. Keep a diary over Easter. Write down all the activities that you do over the holiday. You could even challenge yourself to include the time that you write in your diary or the time that you complete an activity.

2. Log on to Bug Club and read a book. Don't forget to answer the questions when the little bug pops up.

4. Write some clues for a family Easter Egg hunt around your house or garden.

Maths:
1. Have a look at this worksheet. Can you complete the missing number bonds to 100? Remember to use your knowledge of number bonds to 10 to help you.

2. Have a look at this alien worksheet. Can you complete the number sentences?

3. What can you remember about multiplication? How quickly can you solve these problems? Maybe you could draw an array to help you. (To find a square of a number, multiply it by itself, e.g. the square of 2 is 2x2=4)

4. We love Fast Maths at school! Remember you only have 2 minutes to answer as many questions as you can! Try again tomorrow and see if you can beat your score.

5. Look Top Marks, Education City and ICT games for some more fun maths activities.

Science:
1. Log on to education city and play the science game: 'Family Fun' (Science - Year 2) matching animals and their young activity game.
2. Draw some pictures of adult animals and their babies. Cut them out, turn them over and play a matching game. Whoever finds the most pairs wins!

Topic:
1. Go for a walk in your local area or garden. Make a tally chart of things that you see that walk, wriggle, crawl or fly.
2. Display your findings as a pictogram or block diagram.
