A message from Miss Shipp

Good Morning Year 2!

I hope you are all keeping well and safe at home.

Mrs Brooks, Mrs Peek and I are all working from home today and thinking of some exciting activities that you can do, at home, after the Easter break.

I'm sitting at my desk this morning with my cup of tea, Spanish book and my cat Lottie by my side. I am rather excited because her kittens are going to be born in 3 weeks time!

We have already posted some activities that you might like to try at home over Easter. Don't forget to write your non-chronological report about your mini-beast this week. Hopefully we will soon have a way that you can send these to us to read.

I would love to hear some of the exciting things you have been doing at home.

Do you have any news to share?

Leave a little comment and I will reply to you :)

We are all missing you a lot but are glad that you are safe at home.

Love from
Miss Shipp x

  1. Hi Miss Shipp

You don't teach Noah Watson my Son. Just thought I would say thank you for providing the resources to support home learning. Being a teacher myself (high school) I know how difficult it is to set tasks accessible to all.

    Best wishes and stay safe

    Liz

    1. Hello Emmie,
I hope I will get to read your non-chronological report soon. What was the name of your minibeast?
Lottie is doing well, she has a very round tummy and is eating so much food! I would love to share some photos when the kittens are born. Perhaps we could all come up with a list of names for the kittens?
I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the activities on Education City and being able to spend some quality time with your family.
Mrs Weston, Mrs Sutcliffe and I miss you too and we look forward to being back at school as soon as it is safe.

Hope you are well and enjoying Easter.
I have written my non-chronological report, my mini-beast was called Scorpibee, a kind of mix between a scorpion and a bee!!
I have been doing some reading this morning, and Daddy even made me do a spelling test on Easter Sunday - cant wait to get back to school!!
I have read some books on Bug Club, learning about volcanoes and some challenges on Education City.
    I enjoyed the maths worksheets.
Stay safe and hopefully see you soon.

Your Scorpibee sounds very interesting, is it a friendly minibeast?

    Hi Miss Shipp,
We have been doing a science experiment this week. To see what coloured tissue paper colours water and then can change hair colour. I currently have bright pink hair. Can we please have a picture of the kittens when they arrive. What are the kittens names going to be?
    Miss you lots
    Olivia xx

    1. Hi Olivia,
That sounds like a fun science experiment, maybe we could try this at school some time too. Pink hair, I can't wait to see!
I will definitely share a picture of the kittens when they are born. Lottie has 9 days to go and she has a very round tummy. I can feel the kittens wriggling around in her tummy.
I would love to hear some of your suggestions for kitten names, maybe you could write a list for me?
I look forward to seeing you when we can be back at school.
